Lauren Conrad: The Hills Is Fake

Fresh from a transcontinental flight, Lauren Conrad was spotted walking through the terminal at JFK International Airport in New York City on June 17.

The former “Hills” hottie looked a bit worn out as she passed the paparazzi sporting a black jacket with a white scarf, white top, slim-fit jeans, and flip-flops.

This morning, LC came clean about some of the staged scenes on her MTV reality television gig, admitting that there was all kinds of fakeness and made-up scenarios.

For example, Conrad revealed that Spencer Pratt never actually apologized about the whole sex tape ordeal. “To be perfectly honest, I wasn’t on the other end of that call.” That was filmed and I wasn’t on the other end.”

As for her new book “L.A. Candy,” Lauren explained, “It’s inspired by [my experience on The Hills]. Because I went through it and there was this whole other story taking place off-camera and a lot of times it almost seemed, you know in our worlds, to upstage our on-camera life. So I thought it would be interesting to tell the story that happens behind a reality show.”

Ready to jet out of town, Lauren Conrad was spotted arriving to Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday June 17.

Carrying a Chanel purse and lugging two large suitcases, the MTV reality starlet was asked to remove her sunglasses as a security staffer checked her ID card before allowing her to move along.

In related news, Miss Conrad spoke with press about the possibility of plastic surgery - saying that it’s not for her.

“You know what, I prefer a flatter-chested look,” the 23-year-old told Access Hollywood. “That’s just kind of me. I think it’s more of a fashion look. If you look at a lot of high-fashion models and things like that, they’re always you know, a little flatter ... I like the way clothes fit better.”

“Big boobs?” LC adds, “No I mean ... that’s what wonder bras are for!”

Miss Conrad is in the midst of a book tour to promote her new novel L.A. Candy, the first of a three-book series.

“To be perfectly honest, I wasn’t on the other end of that call,” Lauren replied. “That was filmed, and I wasn’t on the other end. So I didn’t even know about it until it was on TV. So, no, I didn’t get an apology. He lied.”

Meanwhile, LC recently weighed in on the big split between Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt, telling, “I didn’t know that! I thought they were a good match.”

Talking about the rumors that the pair were to wed, Miss Conrad said, “She was going to marry a lot of people. But he had fun. That’s all that matters.”

As for Doug, LC adds, “We dated my senior year of high school,” Conrad recalled of the relationship. “He moved back and then it was like, ‘Oh, we’ll pick up where we left off’... for a couple of weeks.’"

The Hills beauty says that one of her goals is to get her book, L.A. Candy, on the small screen eventually. She says, “We’re going to start working on that when I get back from my book tour.”

She’s also not giving up her fashion collection, explaining, “I have my line at Kohl’s but I’m also working on putting back together my original line. I want to change it up, working on a new name…”

When asked whether she will tune into the first “Hills” show with Kristen Cavallari in her place, LC simply replied, “I probably won’t watch it. I’m not a huge TV person.”

I'm going to have a lot more involvement this year in their empowerment campaign. I'll be partnering with Kohl's department store on a new project. I'm very, very excited about that."

Audrina Patridge And The Gang: Back For More Hills

Confirming that they'll be moving ahead with a new season without Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge and the gang will be back for another season of The Hills this fall.

According to a breaking announcement from MTV, the show's regulars including Miss Patridge, Heidi Montage, Spencer Pratt, Stephanie Pratt, Lo Bosworth, Justin Bobby, and Brody Jenner will all be taking part - along with a few fresh faces (Kristen Cavallari).

"Spencer and Heidi will be newlyweds, so the stakes are higher than ever before for the two to make things work. Viewers will find out life in Los Angeles only gets more complicated as friendships, relationships, and loyalties are tested like never before," MTV tells in their statement.

And while the loss of Miss Conrad will definitely change things up, the remaining cast members aren't getting too panicked.

When asked whether she thinks the show will continue to be successful, Audrina replied: "Yes, we're like family to our audience."

Among the highlights of the night's Q & A session was a big spoiler, as Miss Conrad confirmed that Spencer admits to instigating the sex tape scandal.

"We actually have it on tape," LC tells. "He takes responsibility and apologizes for it."

Getting a little love from the audience, one fan told the gathered cast members: "I feel like I know you all so well. I keep looking at you and feeling like you're going to recognize me."

Out for the unveiling of her new billboard, Audrina Patridge was all smiles as she stepped out in support of PETA on Wednesday morning (April 22).

In the ad spot, Miss Patridge poses in a skimpy angel outfit alongside her rescued pooch, Speedy Gonzalez, with "Be an Angel for Animals-Always Adopt, Never Buy" written next to her picture.

Talking about the PETA backing, Audrina released a statement reading: "Each year, 6 to 8 million unwanted dogs and cats are turned in to shelters, and half are killed because there aren't enough good homes. The solution is as easy as ABC - animal birth control. Always spay and neuter, and never buy from a pet store or a breeder."

Lauren Conrad: Spencer Pratt Apologized For Sex Tape Rumors

Lauren Conrad looks yummy in yellow at the PaleyFest09 presentation of The Hills at Hollywood's ArcLight Theaters on Tuesday (April 21).

During the panel, the 23-year-old reality TV star said that Spencer Pratt is sorry for starting the sex tape rumors. "We actually have it on tape," Lauren said. "Spencer takes responsibility and apologizes for it."

Mutual pal Brody Jenner added, "It was just so messed up that there was no fixing and they were just trying to dig their way out of this grave they dug themselves into. They knew they had spread rumors... they were plotting and scheming to point the fingers at everybody else when everybody knew it was them who did it. There was no way of getting out of it. I think that was their desperate measure of trying to get out of it."

It's likely the apology will air on a future episode of The Hills.

Earlier today, it was announced that Lauren is launching an apparel line for Kohl's department stores called LC Lauren Conrad.

Dressed casually, the MTV reality starlet enjoyed a bout of shopping at the Fred Segal boutique, also grabbing lunch with friends at Cuvee.

The afternoon outing follows the recent release of her new movie, Into the Blue 2: The Reef, which came out on DVD Tuesday.

The Hills hottie plays Kelsey in the film, recently explaining how excited she is for the movie because she was such a fan of the first one starring Jessica Alba and Paul Walker. "I was a huge fan of Into the Blue, the original one, so whenever this opportunity came about, I was like, 'I really want to do this.' Just because of the diving, the beach, and the atmosphere."

The beach lover's film was shot in Hawaii and focuses on divers looking for an underwater lost treasure. "I'm very excited and honored. It's like my dream come true," said Patridge.

The next move for her is Sorority Row, which will be a flick and unfortunately she will be killed! Patridge worked hard to make it a believable death scene.

"I did practice," she said. "But, you know, once you're on set and in the moment, it's so much easier because you're around everybody else. Especially in a horror film, a lot of the deaths are so disgusting. You have to tough it out with all the blood, and it's so sticky and gross!"

Lauren Conrad: Family Guy Acting Lessons

She may be one of the most famous reality TV personalities, but when it comes to actual action Lauren Conrad says she isn't a natural.

The Hills hottie recently told press that she enlisted the help of an acting coach to help her get ready for her guest starring role on Family Guy.

"I hired an acting coach for the day to get me through it because a lot of the lines later on in the episode that I did are very complicated. There are a lot of facts and big words, and I had to say it as if it was coming to me very easily the lines ahead of time, instead of just reading them. I actually had to research some of them!"

And LC was grateful for the extra help. "My coach that I was working with told me if I really understood what I was talking about, it would come through a little more true."

Looking stunning in her gown on the red carpet, Lauren Conrad hosted the official grand opening party at Wet Republic at MGM Grand Resort and Casino in Las Vegas last evening (April 18).

The MTV reality starlet made the trip to Sin City for a quick payday following a short stay in New York City.

Meanwhile, Miss Conrad has recently landed herself a role in the FOX cartoon series Family Guy. Conrad will be playing herself, being known for a dramatic life on her hit series The Hills.

She will join Peter Griffin and his dysfunctional family for an episode playing the date of the Griffins' family dog, Brian, who ends up using Lauren to hide his true affections for a mystery character.

Conrad's friend Whitney Port will also make a cameo appearance in the series. Catch the episode on May 3.

Finished up with what was a short stay in the Big Apple, Lauren Conrad was spotted leaving New York City via JFK Airport on Saturday morning (April 18).

Always keeping a busy schedule, the MTV reality starlet was headed off to Las Vegas, as she's lined up to host the Wet Republic Ultra Pool grand opening at the MGM Grand later this evening.

According to press reports, festivities surrounding the grand opening started up at 11 am, as fans of The Hills beauty purchased up VIP cabanas in hopes of getting to meet their reality show idol.

While the new season of The Hills kicking off less than a week ago, it seems Lauren Conrad won't be filming any more scenes for the upcoming episodes.

According to a report, LC has already wrapped on her contract with MTV, hence producers will be piecing together already-filmed segments with Conrad to complete the season.

An insider told press, "The producers would make Lauren react to a lot of potential scenarios, because they're not yet sure how the finale will play out with the other characters."

Port says, "I think Lauren kind of feels like they're never really going to be best friends, 'cause she was so betrayed by her."

Continuing on, The City star added, "I think that it's really mature and that they've come to an understanding. So it's cool they've become friends."

While she's made quite a name for herself in the fashion industry, it seems Lauren Conrad's designer clothing line is in limbo.

According to a New York Post report, the Lauren Conrad Collection has been put on hiatus, with the shipment of the last spring and summer delivery being cancelled.

A rep from LC's camp revealed, "In light of the economic climate, Lauren has decided to completely rethink her line. Lauren is going to revamp her line and design with more high-end fabrics...things she couldn't do the first time around."

And while nothing is set in stone, we should be hearing from The Hills hottie soon. "With everything going on in the economy and in her life, she wants to rework her line and offerings. She will make announcements soon."

The Hills star has said about the book, "It tells a behind-the scenes story of a young girl named Jane Roberts who moves to L.A. and unexpectedly becomes the star of a reality television show. The books will be loosely inspired by my own experience and are definitely influenced by my own life. Some of the characters may symbolize people in my life, but it is in no way calling anyone out... I've always loved books that I could lose myself in, ones that would transport me to another place, but had characters that I could relate to. So, I'm so excited to have this opportunity to write books like that for other readers."

How have you changed since the first season?

Honestly, it's difficult for me to remember what I was like before I had a mic taped to me. But I think I've become a little more independent and not quite as.. I don't want to say it, but pathetic. There are episodes that I watch when I actually annoy myself. I just want to be like, get it together!

Do you think you're a drama queen?

No. I think that there are times when I get caught up in the drama and I get upset. I can be a little sensitive to things, but I don't think I ever wake up in the morning intending to cause problems. I think that there are definitely people who thrive on drama and they enjoy it. They need to keep their lives exciting. I'm happiest when I'm boring.

What do you think is next for Heidi and Spencer?

More music videos? Ha! I don't know. I do believe they plan to take over the world.

Up early in the morning, Lauren Conrad was spotted out roaming around as she left her friend's house in Brentwood on Wednesday (October 22).

Toting her Urban Detox drink in hand, the MTV reality starlet has been juggling a ful plate including her hit show The Hills, her fashion line and upcoming book series.

Talking about her three book release, LC recently told MTV, "I think because I have a reality show, they have low expectations. These aren't meant to be very serious books. They're very fun. They're a light read, so hopefully people will enjoy them."

Elaborating on the plot for the L.A. Candy book series, Conrad tells, "We threw around a few ideas, possibly on dating or fashion. But I love writing stories, so we came up with this idea of loosely basing it on my story, but with completely different people, just kind of the same situation. We can have fun with it, 'cause we spent five years on camera, and there was an entirely different story off camera, not being told. It'll focus on that side of it."

With the first book from the series due to hit stores next summer, Miss Conrad has already finished up the outline and will now write the novel. "I'm having a lot of fun with it," she said. "It's definitely a little bit more edgy. Just very real."

Everything went down at Los Angeles' STK restaurant, where Miss Montag and Spencer Pratt were out for a dinner date. When Heidi noticed that Lauren was holding her LA Fashion Week celebration in the same restaurant, she took action.

Asking to congratulate LC, Heidi finally met up with her former BFF and chatted for a bit before sharing a warm hug. According to witnesses, they were both smiling and happy to be talking.

It's a first step in the direction that Montag was hoping to go. She recently told press, "Obviously I miss her, and she was my best friend for a really long time. Hopefully one day we will be able to work through this and move on and patch some things up."

Lauren Conrad Shines At LA Fashion Week

Though she's mostly known for her Reality TV career, Lauren Conrad's secret passion has always been fashion design. And yesterday she looked cool and confident at her Mercedes-Benz LA Fashion Week Spring 2009 show.

The Hills hottie was spotted backstage at Smashbox Studios, putting the finishing touches on her models, as well as giving a few interviews.

And it seems LC's new line has piqued the interest of some Hollywood celebrities.

With her fashion design career getting stronger and stronger, Lauren has been seriously contemplating her exit from her MTV hit reality show. She told press, "It's coming to a point where I love this show so much, but I'm ready to kind of walk away. I've been doing it for five years now. Five years on TV is a really, really long time."

Conrad also commented that she's ready for a normal life. "It's more difficult when not only everyone knows about your problems, but they make them worse because things escalate and things get twisted. Its hard to have an actual friendship be torn apart in the media."

In the latest issue of Cosmopolitan, Lauren dishes on how she deals with being in the limelight. "I feel like I'm a pretty normal 22-year-old. An actor friend told me the best way to deal with attention is to exist in the 2 feet around you when you're out with friends--you can't be worried about people watching you," she said.

Enjoying one of the many perks of being a reality starlet, Lauren Conrad was spotted out taking a brand new Audi R8 for a spin on Wednesday (October 8).

According to a source on the scene, the Hills hottie had the $113,000 sports car delivered to her house first thing in the morning - then taking it for a drive around her neighborhood before picking up guy friend Kyle Howard for lunch at Toast.

Meanwhile, it seems as if the LC/Justin Bobby hook-up rumors are still up-in-air, at least as far as Audrina Patridge is concerned.

Miss Patridge was a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres show this morning, telling Ellen, "After I found these rumors out, she chose to talk to me through the tabloids and not come directly to me or call me, as a true friend. Neither of them have really talked to me or made an effort, so I really don't know what to believe. I don't want to believe it."

"Can you stop doing the show? Because it all sounds kind of messy and hurtful, right?" DeGeneres then asked.

"It is... but I'm a big part of the show, so, you know, we're filming until December. And then after than, you know, we'll see," Audrina replied.

On Monday's episode of The Hills, Heidi Montag penned an apology note to former BFF Lauren Conrad. Lauren's coworker an pal Whitney Port, who's getting her own spin-off series, read the note aloud:

Lauren basically says she can never be friends with Heidi as long as Heidi's boyfriend Spencer Pratt is around. Later in the episode, Spencer gets angry after he finds out that Heidi apologized to Lauren without his knowing.
