Lauren Conrad: Moving Up In The World Of Fashion

Keeping things casual in sweats and a tank top, Lauren Conrad was all about taking care of errands on what was a beautiful Wednesday (August 6) in Hollywood, California.

The MTV reality starlet first grabbed up her morning iced coffee drink from Coffee Bean before popping into Whole Foods for a bit of shopping with a friend.

On the way out, LC took a moment to sign up for an environmental poll before heading back to her house. After dropping off her purchases, The Hills hottie then headed for Runyon Canyon to walk her dog Chloe with her roomie/co-star Lauren "Lo" Bosworth and another female friend.

Meanwhile, it was just announced that Lauren has landed a gig designing a couture gown for the woman woman handing out statuettes at the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards.

"I am so excited that the Academy has asked me to design a dress for this years Emmy Awards," LC said in a statement releases earlier today. "I will be doing a red carpet look that still reflects the simple classic design of the Lauren Conrad Collection but with a black tie twist."

Lauren has just been tapped to design a couture gown for the Primetime Emmy Awards! "When the show approached me, I was so excited," said Conrad. "I love designing dresses and I can't wait to see my own designs on the Primetime Emmy Awards. The dress will be elegant et simple with a Lauren Conrad Collection vibe."

Lauren Conrad Goes Greek

The Hills star Lauren Conrad will be putting on her toga this coming fall when she appears in an episode of ABC Family's college soap, Greek, according to EW.

Lauren, 22, will be playing herself on the second season's finale on Oct. 28th.

Ms. Conrad will be playing a spiritual adviser to Spencer Grammer's character. Sean Smith, series creator, commented, "It's a dream sequence in which Casey and LC are best friends. Casey has a big decision she has to make, and she's like, 'LC, what do I do? Advise me!'"

Wearing a sexy white sheath dress, lauren Conrad styled up the red carpet at the The Do Something Awards: The Pre-Party of The Teen Choice Awards at Level 3 in Hollywood on Saturday night (August 2).

The 22-year-old MTV reality starlet, who showed up with BFF/co-star Lauren "Lo" Bosworth, accessorized her outfit with a pair of black Louboutin pumps, a skinny black belt and, as always, ample jewelry.

According to press reports, The Do Something Awards, announced with the Teen Choice Awards, recognize nine young people who saw a problem in the world and then tackled it. Each winner receives $10,000 for their cause - with one Do Something Awards grand prize winner receiving $100,000.

Prior to her arrival at The Do Something Awards, LC was spotted out getting ready as she payed a visit to the Warren Tricomi hair salon on Melrose Avenue.

Wearing a blue striped vest and carrying a fedora hat, The Hills babe spent over two hours getting her hair done in preparation of her big weekend affairs.

With the new season of The Hills hitting airwaves August 18th, the whole cast has been working overtime to film episodes. And yesterday (August 1), Lauren Conrad was hard at work filming more fresh material for the MTV reality series.

The 22-year-old starlet was spotted out to lunch in Los Angeles, California with a friend, looking summertime sexy in an orange button-up shirt, distressed jeans, and a pair of funky chunky platform heels.

And if she has anything to do with it, LC says this season of The Hills will be the last one for her. "Every season , I think it's the last. Right now, I think this is the last season."

She continued, "I go through phases when I've been filming where I wake up in the middle of the night and I think I'm being filmed. That's when I have to take a vacation."
