Accompanied by a police escort, Lauren Conrad was mobbed by fans outside MTV Canada in Toronto after appearing on a live show to promote the new season of The Hills Monday night (March 30).The reality starlet was busy unveiling The Hills Season 5 to North American viewers, joining MTV Canada's Dan Levy and Jessi Cruickshank to shoot the half-hour special "Live with Lauren! The Hills Season 5 Preview."
Meanwhile, brand new episodes of The Hills start airing less than a week from today, as LC's final season kicks off on April 6 on MTV.
Aside from finishing off her run on The Hills, Miss Conrad has also decided to take a breather from the fashion world, as her rep told press: "She is taking a hiatus, but the line still exists and will continue. The sales of her line in the first year doubled what was projected. However, in light of the economy, it's a good time for Lauren to take a few seasons off to re-work her still budding line. She will look over the past seasons to determine what worked and what didn't work so that she may design clothing that will appeal to her fans."
